Abstract
Divan literature is a literary style that lasted six hundred years. This literary style, which had a vital importance in our history, has been strongly criticized on the grounds that it was isolated from the people of the time and had no connection to real life. However, Divan literature was popular in all levels of the society, and popular with many poets from different parts of the empire. This article aims to anaylze the poet Sırrî, who lived in Trabzon in the 16th Century, and whose life has not yet been studied.
