<dcterms:title><![CDATA[ANTONYMY AS BINARY CONSTRUAL IN CONCEPTUAL SPACE]]></dcterms:title>
<dcterms:abstract><![CDATA[This article is based on empirical investigation of intrasentential antonym functions in Serbian written discourse, which suggests that phrasal contexts in which antonyms co-occur are relatively stable and that at least some of the most frequent ones can be viewed as potential triggers of contrast relation in discourse. Starting from the notion of antonymous framework, a formulaic structure in which certain grammatical and content words systematically house both members of an antonymous pair, the article addresses the issue of whether some of the most frequent frameworks can be viewed as potential triggers of contrast relation in discourse and seeks to explain the non-canonical instances of binary semantic contrast generated in those contexts within the framework of Cognitive Semantics. The paper also attempts to explain how this contributes to our understanding of the nature of the category of antonymy in language. Theoretical framework adopted is that of Cognitive Semantics in which antonymy as a Gestalt is an instance of a bisected domain and the resulting interpretation is shaped by the construal of comparison and the profiling of a specific dimension. Examples of binary semantic contrast analyzed in the article fulfill the requirements for antonym construal: they are aligned along the same meaning dimension within a domain in which they are compared and construed as denoting contrasting concepts. Conclusions provide support to the treatment of antonymy as a conceptual relation and a linguistic category exhibiting prototypicality effects.]]></dcterms:abstract>

<dcterms:abstract><![CDATA[The intent of this Master Thesis is to provide an insight into issues and potential of urban areas which lost their function over time and became useless or abandoned – urban voids. This paper tends to clarify those areas based on works of architectural and urban theorists, it attempts to create a simple classification and suggests how to proceed towards regeneration. Furthermore, it aims to stress the importance of these misunderstood urban holes as a different perspective on the development of today’s already overcrowded cities. The paper further discusses the concept of urban regeneration and its tools in practice. Finally, by providing a methodology for applying the practices of urban regeneration on urban voids as areas of intervention, it aims to show the immense potential for future of architectural and urban planning hidden within these forgotten areas.]]></dcterms:abstract>

<dcterms:abstract><![CDATA[Throughout history translation has made inter-linguistic communication between people possible. Theoretically, one can consider translation a science; practically, it seems rational to consider it an art. However, regardless of whether one considers translation as a science, art or craft, one should bear in mind that a good translation should fulfill the same function in the target language as the original did in the source language. The aim of this paper is to demonstrate through various examples the difficulties with translating. The author has also included some of her own personal experiences that she has acquired while working on the ERP project with the US Steel company in Serbia. The focus here is on the economic terminology. Keywords: translating, troubles with translating, economic terminology]]></dcterms:abstract>

<dcterms:abstract><![CDATA[The fractal geometry is a relatively new research subject in theory of architecture, but its principles are in use for centuries. Among the witness are numerous architectural masterpieces around the world and various ornaments found in different cultures. This master thesis investigates the presence of fractal geometry principles in traditional sacral architecture ornaments of Persian, Ottoman and Bosnian architecture. Methodology used in the analysis of specific ornaments plates was the box counting technique via ImageJ fractal analysis software and FracLac plugin. Collected data was then analyzed comparatively and the results discussed in terms of existence of fractal geometry principles in the analyzed ornaments and similarity and relation between the ornaments from the above mentioned three cultures. The purpose of this study is to examine the presence and level of similarity between fractal dimensions of analyzed ornaments, which represent a consequence of cultural and civilizational connections. <dcterms:abstract><![CDATA[Sažetak: Članak koji se nalazi pred nama opservira pitanje kriterijuma kojima su se rukovodili zakonodavci prilikom kreiranja zakonskih nasljednih redova u BiH. U tom smislu u radu smo analizirali dvije ključne činjenice, i to: srodstvo i (van)bračnu vezu.
