Abstract

The purpose of this research is to identify the dimensions of attitudes toward vocational economy and commerce education in high schools in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Secondary school students’ attitudes toward professional economy and commerce education are analyzed through a self administered questionnaire. The surveys were collected from four high schools giving economy and commerce education in Sarajevo Canton. Out of the total number of 820 students in the second, third and fourth grades, 373 students were surveyed as part of the study. The results show that the students’ attitudes toward vocational economy and commerce education in Sarajevo Canton can be explained by six dimensions. These dimensions are “laboratory and physical resources”, “education”, “books”, “courses”, “overall attitude”, and “career intentions”.
